Next week, the concrete sidewalk and driveways for the
public parking lot on the south side of Glenview Road east of River Drive (next
to Oil Lamp Theater) will be poured. The parking lot will be closed starting on
Monday (September 11th) and re-open by Friday (September 15th).
Street parking along Glenview Road will be available during this time.
The concrete sidewalk improvements are nearly completed on
the south side of Glenview Road. It is anticipated a majority of the concrete
sidewalk, stamped and colored concrete sidewalk, and concrete curb & gutter
replacements will be completed by the end of the next week for the entire
project. The remaining concrete to be completed are those areas where the
temporary street lights and temporary traffic signal poles are in conflict.
With the concrete work nearly completed, the project will be
moving to the next phase, roadway resurfacing. It is anticipated roadway
resurfacing will begin the week of September 18th. Roadway
resurfacing will include removing the top 2-inches of the existing asphalt
pavement, performing repairs to the remaining pavement as needed, and installation
of a new asphalt surface. Glenview Road will remain open during this
construction; however, lanes will be reduced and flaggers will be present. We
do expect significant travel delays, so please plan accordingly.
Thanks for your understanding and patience.
